Tredidon Barton is part of a working farm, set in the heart of the Cornish countryside. It comprises a large Georgian farmhouse, grade II listed and a barn conversion, the Granary.
The present farm has been in the family for three generations, and has over the years gone through many changes as farming practices evolve.
The farm at present is mainly arable with wheat, barley and fodder beet. Recently a proportion of land has been planted with mixed broadleaf trees and conifers with huge benefits to the local wildlife and the environment.
In 1994 a small diversification project was undertaken with a nature trail introduced, known then as 'Tredidon Trails' At the time, a new lake was created for coarse fishing and gradually this has evolved into todays 'Hidden Valley Discovery Park'
The main house has over this winter, undergone a major roof overhaul. Work started in September 2007 and was completed in March 2008. The whole roof has been restored, quite an undertaking as many of the timbers were very old. Even the bell tower was completely renovated, as well as the task of replacing all the cast iron guttering.
